Alaskans Ending the Epidemic of Domestic Abuse and Sexual Assault
These are Real Alaskans, Real Faces, Real Names, Real Souls.
For many AK is the land of great hope and opportunity. Yet for some, their lives are scarred by domestic violence and sexual assault.
Our people need us. And it’s time for Alaskans to make a difference in our state-it’s time to Choose Respect.

USAFV, in partnership with the Parnell Administration and the Alaska Network on domestic violence and sexual assault, challenge Alaskans to step up-and take a stand against sexual assault in our state. Together, we can make a difference.Together, we can Choose Respect.

Special Guest General Katkus with The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs will be flying to Unalaska and speaking on behalf of Governor Parnell. Followed by, Mayor Marquardt, Sargent Betzen, Judy Ruder from Behavioral Health and Lynn Crane Director of USAFV. Please come join us in this special event and help put Unalaska on the map for change in this effort. Potluck optional, JUST COME -some food will be provided by USAFV.All ages welcome!
