For many AK is the land of great hope and opportunity. Yet for some, their lives are scarred by domestic violence and sexual assault.
Our people need us. And it’s time for Alaskans to make a difference in our state-it’s time to Choose Respect.
USAFV, in partnership with the Parnell Administration and the Alaska Network on domestic violence and sexual assault, challenge Alaskans to step up-and take a stand against sexual assault in our state. Together, we can make a difference.Together, we can Choose Respect.
Special Guest General Katkus with The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs will be flying to Unalaska and speaking on behalf of Governor Parnell. Followed by, Mayor Marquardt, Sargent Betzen, Judy Ruder from Behavioral Health and Lynn Crane Director of USAFV. Please come join us in this special event and help put Unalaska on the map for change in this effort. Potluck optional, JUST COME -some food will be provided by USAFV.All ages welcome!

- USAFV is organized and committed to providing immediate safety, support, advocacy, education, information and referral services in order to promote empowerment, safety, health and well-being and improving the quality of life in the Aleutian/Pribilof Islands.We hope to expand our services and outreach into homes and lives of those in need of support that may not be near a facility or be ready to confront issues face to face with others but can do so anonymously through our blog and find positivity,resources,referrals and support to promote empowerment,justice,fairness,dignity and respect starting through online relationships and progressing from there into their daily lives when ready.
